On behalf of the Essex-Union County Association of Psychologists, we are very pleased to announce our upcoming program entitled "Working with Transgender and Gender Diverse Clients Across The Lifespan: Considerations for the Psychotherapist”. This highly informative workshop will be presented by Diane Bruessow, MPAS, PA-C, DFAAPA of HEALTHY TRANSITIONS, LLC.

Program Fee is $25 for EUCAP members, $30 for non-members and $15 for students.

CE certificate fee payable to NJPA is $15 for NJPA members, $25 for non-NJPA members and free for NJPA sustaining members.
Refunds will be granted with written requests received at least 7 days prior to the program. Contact the EUCAP program chair, Jackie Mesnik for more specific instructions.

This session will provide attendees with highlights of current knowledge regarding gender diversity across the lifespan, in addition to an overview of resources currently available for the management of gender dysphoria and incongruence in children, adolescent, and adults. Social transition, sex steroids, anti-androgens, puberty suppression and gender-affirming procedures will be discussed.  

We will have breakfast available and we hope to have a chance to socialize as well.  Looking forward to seeing you there!

Learning Objectives:
• Apply current knowledge to the care of transgender and gender diverse clients across the lifespan

• Describe the treatment goals for the care of transgender and gender diverse patients across the lifespan.

• Observe the similarities and differences between gender expression and gender identity

• Identify three take-home points from the recent peer-reviewed literature regarding the relationship between gender and psychological well-being.

• Consider when it may be appropriate to utilize the gender-affirming model of care in your practice

• Enhance access to ethically-sound care for transgender and gender diverse clients across the lifespan
